The Canal lateral a la Garonne is linked to the Canal du Midi at Toulouse. Together they form the "Canal de deux mers" but we often think of the whole thing simply as the Canal du Midi. It is a world heritage site,

The canal consists of the following:-
  • Agen to Castesarassin - 48.75 kms.
  • Langon to Agen - 85.17 kms.
  • Castelsarassin to Toulouse - 60.08 kms.
Total length of the canal is 194.00 kms.
