* These are weekly prices in euros per cottage. The approx. sterling price (at 1.14€:£1) follows in brackets, followed by nightly prices (one-seventh of the weekly rate) in euros. Minimum booking is for 3 nights. A supplement of 8.00€ per night is charged for short stays of 3/4/5 nights. (e.g. 5 nights in barn high season costs (46+8) x 5 =270€ 10 nights in barn high season = 460€). Long lets, combined House/Barn/Hibiscus bookings: please ask.

Extras

Almost everything is covered in the price - linen, water heating, gas for cooking, fuel for woodburning stoves in summer, etc.; except:

a 20€ cleaning charge for pets.
Extra sets of bedlinen: 15€ per set.
Use of bicycles - 5€ per person per day.
Internet (WIFI) Access - 5€ per stay.

To Book or reserve a cottage

If booking within 6 weeks of the start date, please pay the full rental +£50. Otherwise a deposit of £100 secures your reservation. This is made up of: a £50 security deposit which will be returned to you, less significant costs for breakages or damage, outstanding charges for extras, and special cleaning charges if applicable, within a fortnight of the end of your holiday, plus a £50 rental element; we will convert the latter to sterling at the exchange rate on the day we get it and subtract it from the total rental. We then ask you to pay the balance in euros when you arrive.

Reservations are finally confirmed as bookings when we receive your deposit and booking details. You may use PayPal to make payments. If you use PayPal to make a reservation you will receive a confirmation email almost immediately, and an information pack from us, by ordinary post.

Especially in high season we recommend midweek arrivals and departures. This takes advantage of cheaper mid-week ferry prices, and means you can avoid travelling on "black Saturdays" when all France seems to be on the move.

Cancellation

If you cancel we will retain the £50 security deposit to cover administration costs. The rental element of the deposit is returnable (i) if cancellation is more than 12 weeks before the start of the holiday or (ii) if later than that we can find a replacement booking.
