Brittany Butterflies from La Ruelmain
Butterflies and moths abound at La Ruelmain, including varieties now rare in Great Britain; humming-bird hawk moths and many varieties of bumble bees enjoy all the gardens have to offer.
The mixture of the habitats of the marais (=water meadows), woodland, and hedgerows creates a great variety of species, despite the fact that the French are among the largest users of agrochemicals in the world.
