The House

The House, our largest gite, is ideal for a couple, but can accommodate 4.

Its unique feature is the huge bedroom (6 metres square, 18 x 18), which is reached by an enclosed spiral wooden staircase.

It occupies the first floor and has a sitting area with wonderful view down to the river. There is a double bed with pillows and single duvets and two single beds, for use here (the room can be divided by a curtain) or downstairs in the garden room.

Downstairs is a spacious living room with tiled floor with rugs, wood-burning stove, settee, dining table and chairs, easy chairs, bookshelves and a dresser. There is a modern gas cooker (bottled gas), microwave, fridge and washing machine in the well-equipped kitchen area. The bathroom has shower, WC and handbasin, and a housekeeping cupboard.

View towards the kitchen area - sunny south window, and in this case - lots of clutter !

A glass door leads from the living room onto the patio and garden, with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Accessible from the patio is the garden room, which can be used as a sitting room or a second bedroom. The House has its own parking space in a layby on the lane down to the river, with steps leading up to the front of the house. This is a view of the circular stairs built into the wall (a traditional feature of Breton cottages).
