Art in Brittany - Art at Kerguehennec
Kerguehennec now the site for a permanent art exhibition in Brittany, was a compact stately home - about the size that a wealthy slave trader might have had built in Devon, or a successful coalminer in Nottinghamshire - and is now the home to a startling collection of modern sculpture.
No big names mind you but stimulating and entertaining. There's a naufrage (=shipwreck) in the ornamental lake just by the old mill and dotty things to do (below left). And a beautiful ethereal piece that combines bronze and charme (=hornbeam)(below right).

Kerguehennec's web site will tell you that it is the creation of DRAC and FRAC, how to get there and when its open. You need to spend the afternoon there. There were just over 18 exhibits in 2004 so perhaps its like a round of golf from the walking point of view
